This reed is hand made by Bocal Majority in-house. It is designed to be able to make a good, characteristic bassoon sound, and to play in tune in the fundamental range and into the second octave up to high G (3 ledger lines above the staff). This line of reeds features a Fox 2 shape with Rigotti cane either processed in house or by our remote colleague.

About character reeds: some reeds have a decoration on them (for example: Super Mario Brothers, Pokemon, etc...). Each character style comes in a variety of possible variations, not just what is pictured (for example: if you select Super Mario Brothers, you might get Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, etc...). At this time we do not have the ability to accommodate a request or demand for a specific character within the theme. Characters are fun, but what's the most important thing? That the reed plays well.
