ABN 38 Contrabassoon. Amati is one of the only companies making the low A model of the contrabassoon in the world. This contrabassoon plays standardly down to low B-flat, but with the addition of a left pinky key under the resonance key, you can play down to low A with ease, and without the addition of any other parts or inserts. The instrument is tall, but comes apart into 2 pieces to fit in the case. All of our contrabassoons come with a great deal of setup work (tuning voicing, tone hole adjustments, key height adjustments) pre-done before we ship you your contrabassoon.
