The Oboe Reed #4 is the companion to the oboe reed #3. Much of it is built the same way, but the tip opening of the #4 is a little larger than the #3, giving it a little more resistance that requires a slightly firmer embouchure. This is recommended for students who like the #3, but feel like it closes up too quickly.
