Please read this carefully before contacting us

Damaged Reed

If your reed has been damaged during shipping, we will happily replace the reed as long as you contact us by filling out the damaged reed report with in 24 hours of the delivery of the package to the provided address. You must contact us within 24 hours to inform us that you received a damaged reed or if there was any other problem with your order. Damaged reeds must be returned to Bocal Majority at the address listed on your receipt. If there is any issue with the reed upon arrival, please fill out the form.

Reed Preference

Returns, refunds, or exchanges of reeds due to preference (too hard, too soft, doesn't sound right, etc...) are not permitted due to the nature of the product. There is help for you, but not in the form of a refund or exchange - here is more information about that: reeds are individualized, hand-made, and vary from reed style to reed style. Each player can need something different and just because the reed does not work optimally for one player does not mean that it is a "bad reed," but rather it is not a good fit for that player. Sometimes even things like pitch or leaking are simply a matter of knowing and implementing best practices. The good news is that we can help you understand those best practices, and most reeds can be adjusted at least to some extent for a player. As educators ourselves, we have worked hard to provide you with resources to help you get the most out of your reeds. We made a video for students, parents, and band directors on how to do simple adjustments, and we also have PDF guides to help (all found below). For example, if the reed seems to be leaking, please be sure to soak it in lukewarm water for at least 1 to 2 minutes before contacting us. If the reed is playing flat, please try clipping the tip. If the reed is playing sharp, please try opening the tip or relaxing the tension. All of these techniques are demonstrated in the video and PDF guides below:
